  • Promote advancements in virology, microbiology, and immunological applications.
  • Help find cures for various viral diseases by deepening our understanding of their diagnosis and the diseases they cause in humans, animals, and plants.
  • Contribute to the enrichment of viral genetics by studying inherited genes responsible for viral infections, such as the doubling of genome structure and proteins that play an important role in causing viral diseases.
Al-Azhar University Journal of Medical and Virus Researches and Studies (AUJMVRS)
AUJMVRS covers the following areas of research:
  1. Tissue culture and its practical applications in the cultivation of viruses and conducting toxicological tests and the effectiveness of drugs on them.
  2. Genetic studies related to the different genes of viruses involved in virus replication and important enzymes for viral activity.
  3. Molecular Biology Science, including:
    • Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and its uses in the diagnosis of viruses and detection of genes important for virus growth.
    • DNA Fingerprinting and its uses in the characterization, classification, and taxonomy of viruses to assist researchers in their studies.
    • DNA sequencing and its importance in the study of viral genes, facilitating the creation of cures by researchers.
